Hi! I’m Sophia.
I create products and experiences that better human lives. I have 5 years of experience working as a design researcher and strategist to shape digital and physical experiences for a range of fortune 500 and startup companies. My work is collaborative with cross-functional stakeholders, uncovers deep user insights, and leverages strong communication design to relay findings in a digestible way.

I’m currently a UX Researcher at Disney Streaming conducting research to inform product design strategy across Disney's Streaming platforms (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+). Prior to Disney, I completed my Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon and also hold an undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Design & Environmental Analysis, an interdisciplinary major bridging human factors and design strategy. Throughout my career, my goal has remained to define opportunities for innovation and create user experiences that positively impact both businesses and, always, humans.

The Perspectives I Bring

🌱
I approach research from a strategic, growth-oriented lens having worked at the intersection of design and business at the product design & venture studio, Runyon.
🏛
I think holistically, bridging digital and physical experiences, given my work conducting research to inform the design of physical environments at the architecture firm, Gensler.

My Values

Show More than Tell

I’m a visual thinker. While a researcher, I use my design background to visually communicate complex findings in a digestible way.

Always Ask Questions

I believe questions are the best tool for collaboration. Beyond their use in research, asking questions helps better understand collaborators.

Jump Right In

I’m never afraid to take a stab. I’m willing to try, fail, and iterate. Feedback is most valuable when referring to something concrete.
